During the COVID 19 pandemic, it is essential to determine the appropriate channel for the disposal of healthcare waste generated in the COVID 19 and non-COVID 19 sectors. Whether in healthcare facilities, in medical and social institutions, in doctors’ offices, or with patients at home, many questions arise: such as how to dispose of DASRI, PPE, surgical masks, clothing, incontinence products, single-use bedding in contact with COVID 19 patients or in the non COVID 19 sector?
All these questions can find a clear answer in the notice published last November by the High Council of Public Health.
